Introduction to Coding and Critical Thinking
Coding skills are highly desirable and will continue to become even more important in the future. During week 2 of our 4 week summer camp, students learn how to operate the tiny but powerful BBC Micro:Bit. Students apply Math concepts, and learn how to use JavaScript to make things happen. The need for JavaScript programmers is on the rise and will continue to do so for a long while because of its wide use in Web Development.
This week, students will apply their newly acquired procedural thinking skills that they learnt in Week 1. Students will learn how to configure the Micro:Bit chips and set up the environment to code using MakeCode. Our knowledgeable and enthusiastic instructors are Electrical Engineering, Computer Software Engineering graduates and/or industry professionals with a passion for sharing coding best practices in a fun and immersive environment.
